The Uganda Pearl of Africa Business Forum and Expo April 2025 was more than an event—it’s a movement. It’s where a farmer with a groundbreaking idea meets a global partner. Where a tech startup finds its seed funding. Where a global investor discovers their next success story.

This is where we bridge continents and build futures. Come, add your story to ours.

Advancing Women Empowerment: NAWEM Held Strategic Meeting with Uganda High Commissioner

Under the umbrella of NAWEM, HUMAN and other women led businesses are honored to have conducted a productive private meeting with Her Excellency, the Uganda High Commissioner to Malaysia, at the Uganda Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

This high-level discussion, held under the banner of our North American Women Empowerment Mission (NAWEM), focused on exploring concrete avenues for bilateral collaboration to advance women’s economic and social empowerment in Uganda.

The dialogue centered on creating sustainable frameworks for:

  • Skills Development & Entrepreneurship: Building capacity for women-led SMEs and startups.

  • Cross-Border Trade and Investment: Facilitating market access for women entrepreneurs in both nations.

  • Mentorship and Knowledge Exchange: Leveraging shared experiences to foster leadership.

NAWEM extended our sincere gratitude to the Uganda High Commission for their warm reception and shared commitment to this vital cause. This meeting marked a significant first step towards a powerful partnership that will create tangible opportunities and amplify the role of women in driving economic growth.

We look forward to translating this dialogue into actionable initiatives and will share further updates as this collaboration progresses.
